A small article on page 2 of the Melbourne Herald Sun this morning. Must be a slow news day - the incident seems pretty innocuous. It's only newsworthy because a Swans Premiership player and future captain was in the vehicle!

SYDNEY Swans premiership player Daniel Hannebery has been caught in the middle of a driving mishap at the Falls Festival when a Kombi van he was a passenger in ploughed into two other vehicles.

Swans spokesman Jonathon Monasso said Hannebery was sitting in the stationary van with a friend, when the handbrake came loose and the vehicle rolled into two other parked cars.

I like the alleged vehicle. It reeks of young men who are still young, messy, and up for an adventure/road trip, even though one of them has an AFL premiership medal and probably a healthy income. Absolutely love it. Restores my faith that the processes of growing up even if on a pubic stage hasn't changed all that much, and reminds me of what I was up to at the same age (very similar to be honest, traveling and camping and laughing my head off).

In the 2006 pre-season Ben Cousins ran from a booze bus after losing a grand final, in the 2013 pre-season Dan Hannebery lost control of a Kombi van after winning a grand final. This must be an omen, 2013 will be like 2006 in reverse. Back to back here we come!! #footylogic #tellimhesdreaming

What I love about this shot of the combi is the sheer age of the van, and the great big bug catcher, and the storage on top, and the pop up. Its flaming well iconic! Shame it doesn't belong to him.
