    Silly thread based around beards

    Having watched a few replays by now, just how many beards do the Swans boys have in comparison with the rest of the competition;

    No matter how you look at it, its a goodley number. Now the important question. WHY!!!! I don't think there is another team that could compete in these singular stakes, and I am completely nonplussed.

      At the celebrations on GF night I settled down for a beer with Rhyce and asked "do you and Nic lose the beards now?" and he replied "Maybe they have to go around another year now . . ." But when I saw him just before Christmas his beard was very neatly trimmed.I haven't seen Nic - or a pic - to know if he's still impersonating Ned Kelly.

          Some of those listed aren't beards, they are just a couple of days growth....or they would be if I didn't shave.

              But gs, they ALWAYS have them, even during preseason! Its not an accident. I think it is the Miami vice look. Nearly a beard. So that counts for Reg. Marty has never been seen clean shaven that I know of. the rest sported combables.

                  I think it's called designer stubble.

                      I credit the beard for the impressive aerodynamics of Nicmal's 2 goals in the Grand Final
                      May it contine to guide him.

                      Loved that run back to the centre after the final goal ... pure magic

                          Pretty sure I read somewhere that NicMal's beard was going after the end of the season. The wife wasn't much of a beard fan apparently.

                              I had a month off right around the GF and took the opportunity to grow a beard, I claimed it was in honour
                              I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
                              We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
