I have it on permanent record Roy. The editor must have really enjoyed this game, the music and the action together, and volume changes. Brilliant.

I remember as a South supporter I used to dream of winning a night grand final (when the only teams outside the final four competed) or to play in just one day final. If I sound like Bobby Skilton I dont apologise. Watching this has me going back to the smell of jam doughnuts and running on to the ground to touch my idol, Bobby Skilton, at the lakeside oval.....boy, I love this club!

Sounds like my youth. though my idol was Peter 'Wheels' Bedford. An I can still taste those Doughnuts from the caravan, just outside near Claredon St.

I to used to dream about just being in a final. I can remember being totally devasted when we were beaten by Richmond in '77.

But I have been blessed. The past 18 Years have been gold, nothing but gold. I to love this club, and the aura that surrounds it. Never disappointed.

Unless the editor was a swans fan, I don't think he could have possibly enjoyed it as much as us

Watched it again over the holidays, just an extraordinary match. 2005 was more emotional because of the drought breaking, but this was something special, not only the win, but the way it was won, to come from behind in the last quarter of a grand final and actually change the momentum when the other side was on a roll, with all the injuries. What a team!

I'm not sure if the link is working, but if so, this one is even better. Makes the hair stand up on my arms every time I watch it

How wonderful to be reminded of the doughnuts outside the Lake Oval. As a 66 year old I go back to the 50's watching "South" lose regularly...but the hero's of that time...Skilts...Clegg...Johnson...Gunn...Lane...& later the Papley / Bedford generation kept me coming back...but the icing on the cake that sent me home happy even when we (mostly) lost...were definitely the injected jam doughnuts, hot & clothed in sugar...8 for 2 bob! Ah what memories!

How do we nominate the editor of that piece for a gong somewhere? I mean to have the insight to take the best from all five calls to pull it together.....any ideas?

Me to. How wonderful to see footage other than the networks. That was gold. Is anyone clever enough to be able to combine the 3 of those into one file. It would be played 24/7 on my PC. I cant get rid of those goose bumps

You lucky lucky lucky [insert words from Life of Brian, prison scene].

My old man would only stump up the cash and shout us some when we won. Made me appreciate those doughnuts so much more. And the trip home, the interior of the old EH would be covered in sugar. No problems, the vinyl interior it could be just washed right off.

I am 50 so my early days of watching the Swans was mainly in the 70's different idols too, but those jam donuts, I was in the Cheer Squad and we would all buy them at half time, eat what we could and have a donut fight with the rest of them!

BTW this was in the time of Teasdale, John Roberts, Francis Jackson etc.
