Is anyone else sceptical about clubs 'owning up to or finding out' to certain things only after someone has spilt the beans i.e. Melbourne/tanking, Adelaide/Kurt, and now Essendon/Kyle Reimers?

I have to agree that I think it's unlikely that they've really only found out in the last 48 hours or so.
I feel for their fans, must be a strange situation to go through.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Whatever they may or not be taking something illegal I wonder if they stopped taking something after rnd16 last year? From 17 onwards they lost seven in a row.;-)"Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

Essendon Football Club Drama
I think it will be a major drama. The players were probably unaware, that Weapon fella will bear the brunt of everything. There will be some sort of major punishment (termination/ban) but it will probably fall on individuals rather than the club. However for lack of oversight the club will receive a big whopping fine. Just guessing thoughComment

Let's hope young Daniher put an out-clause in his contract......Enabling him to move to his 'other father and son team'.....just a little dream.
As for owning up....that's a joke.
Healy said he had alerted the AFL, about dodgy goings on at Essendon, a year ago......but somehow they were oblivious until yesterday...please.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

Re: Essendon Football Club Drama
The stupidity of it all is breath taking. In this current environment you would ensure that everything you give the players as supplements was approved by the AFL...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

It's not the AFL making allegations, it comes from within.
I bet every footy dept has called in their medicos/performance people in the last week and said "Well?"Comment
