    Essendon Football Club Drama

Is anyone else sceptical about clubs 'owning up to or finding out' to certain things only after someone has spilt the beans i.e. Melbourne/tanking, Adelaide/Kurt, and now Essendon/Kyle Reimers?

I have to agree that I think it's unlikely that they've really only found out in the last 48 hours or so.

I feel for their fans, must be a strange situation to go through.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Whatever they may or not be taking something illegal I wonder if they stopped taking something after rnd16 last year? From 17 onwards they lost seven in a row.;-)

If Essendon have 20+ players suspended for 2 years would they go on the "Supplementary" list ?

I think it will be a major drama. The players were probably unaware, that Weapon fella will bear the brunt of everything. There will be some sort of major punishment (termination/ban) but it will probably fall on individuals rather than the club. However for lack of oversight the club will receive a big whopping fine. Just guessing though

Let's hope young Daniher put an out-clause in his contract......Enabling him to move to his 'other father and son team'.....just a little dream.
As for owning up....that's a joke.
Healy said he had alerted the AFL, about dodgy goings on at Essendon, a year ago......but somehow they were oblivious until yesterday...please.

I wonder if the 'supplements' were passed around the huddle at 3/4 time against us at Etihad last year??

                Re: Essendon Football Club Drama

The stupidity of it all is breath taking. In this current environment you would ensure that everything you give the players as supplements was approved by the AFL.

Interesting for a player to say that, when the club has owned up to a possible problem.
It's not the AFL making allegations, it comes from within.

I bet every footy dept has called in their medicos/performance people in the last week and said "Well?"

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
