Interesting announcement, and timing, by Demetriou

If I was a cynical guy.....I could be forgiven for raising my eyebrows at the timing of Demetriou's announcement... that players were kept from playing games last year after testing positive to illicit drugs.
Given the Essendon drama, this announcement will probably pass through without too much dissection......but it got me thinking.
It makes me think back to various players, (not necessarily Essendon players) and their various mysterious layoffs, during last year......
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

I think it is a bit rough what Demetriou has said ..it is ok for people in forums to speculate (maybe not ..anyway) .. that leaves a question over players that did not play last year but it was not quite clear whether they were injured or dropped (or suspended). I remember reporters chasing a player for comments in a carpark about his playing or not playing .. what am I left to think in this instance?

Soft tissue injuries caused from excessive needle jabbing.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.
