I was just having a look at the player profiles as I noticed that the Site has added 2013 comments from the Coaches.
The Swans appear to have fairly high hopes of Dane if he is given the opportunity.........for me it is only his decision making that will make or break him or of course a Lamb etc jumping ahead of him.
I wonder whether at 189cm and such strong build whether he may take on a Marty Mattner type role across the Half Back line in the future ?
2013 COACHES CALL
We drafted him because he was a mature-aged footballer who has been in the system and has moved back to Sydney and showed some good signs when he was given the opportunity to play in the Swans reserves in 2012. He has a great attitude and is a great athlete.
Pre-season has been super. He?s a fantastic athlete and has coped extremely well. He?s certainly been in the top few in a lot of our testing and has had an outstanding pre-season.
We hope in 2013 he has a taste of senior football and see if he can take the step up needed to play AFL football.
