I don't suppose Jesse lifted his game to piss Adelaide off just as much as to becoming Swans Ruckman no 3 ? Oh I do hope so.

Jesse always looks good in low intensity games that mean nothing. Its when intensity picks up and he has to use his brain that the problems begin.

For some reason, he reminds me of a young Leo Barry. Similar build to.

I also liked Jake Lloyd. Good skills and runs to the right spots.
Great call on the Leo comparison - doesn't quite seem to share Leo's pathological love for pain, but there are definite similarities physically and in the way he moves.

Good point on Jesse, cant see him keeping Pyke or LRT out at the moment. It will be interesting when tippet comes in, can we play Tippett/Mumford/Pyke/LRT hard to pass on LRT given the flexibility he brings to a game. A long way to go and injuries(if any) will play apart of this.

I just saw the last qtr and a bit on Fox. That free against Johnston was rubbish. Johnston hit the ball, Maister fumbled and it went behind him. McEvoy hands in the back and the best shove of all time on Ted. Then a 50 wasn't paid when the ball was knocked out of Lloyds hands. The umps were definitely rusty.
From what I saw Llotd and Rampe both got plenty of the ball, and win their own ball. Most impressed with those 2. Genuinely look like players of the future. Lloyd looks about 15 years old. Reckon Cunningham has a bit of work required on his disposal. Someone needs to tell him he doesn't need to hand it off to a senior player for the sake of it. Do your own thing son.

Give it a rest Auntie; how long do you give White. This tripe gets trotted out every pre season about the lad. He needs to go back to school and get his Footy VCE. He just doesn't have the footy smarts.

The first year besides my fitness i was 30th out of the 30 players in the squad when it came to skills and game awareness with soccer

after the second year i certainly wasnt 30th

3rd year starting to put pressure on the dominant positions i wanted to play and was feeling really confident to demand the ball over players i would never have in year 1

it takes time to transition to a new sport and i to really hope White hangs around and benefits from the time he has put in.

we were very patient with Teddy and Grundy who were already fair footy players - we are being patient with Dre

I think this will be rewarded with Jessie. It has been the rarest of circumstances that have lead to Jessie staying with us........its time to capitalise !

For all we know Goodes or LRT could be injured for a fair part of the season and Jessie has to rise up and not just fill in..........he has to be the MAN !!
We drafted White in 2006, this will be his SEVENTH season in the AFL! How many seasons do you think he should be given Aunty??
