    footy show 7th of march

Just wondering if anyone watched the AFL footy show last night and saw who same newman put as number one for his 2013 ladder?

He put Carlton as number one, (getting a bit carried away with nab cup form I think), Hawks at 2 and Swans at 3.
I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

Newman is known for his insightful and accurate analysis of our game so I'd definitely listen to what he has to say.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I was just pleased that he had us in the top four, I was certain he would have us six - eight at best.

Boy a lot of people think Mick is the messiah.

Aker on the Today show didn't have us in the 8. Proving once again what a wanker he is.

He's just still pissed that he was Jared Crouch's bitch for all those years.

Won 2012 premiership from 3rd so not too upset. Or does he suggest that as the actual standings after the grand final?

No, his thoughts on how they will finish at the end of the home and away season.

I'm pretty sure that his last game for the Lions (in the senior team, at least) was against us? From memory he lost it and slapped Crouch at the Gabba and that was the end for him?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

When I saw him place Hawthorn at 2 I thought we'd be certs to get his number 1 ranking however that went to Carlton. Can't believe Carlton is being rated so highly. Don't think Malthouse will make that much difference.

I thought Lyon was more accurate with his top 8 last night.

Didn't see it Jewels, can you remember how he ranked them?
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

West coast, Sydney, hawks, freo , Collingwood , Cats, Adelaide, North ,. Top four definitely correct , the rest I'm about 80% sure that's how he had them.

I would change North. Top four may be right but Eagles are starting the season with a lot of injuries and two years ago they started this way and it just kept getting worse. Injuries will be the telling of the tale. If, my grandfather used to say if you Aunt had testicles she would be your Uncle, the top teams sustain injuries then the top 8 could shange. If they all have relatively injury free seasons then the changes may be minimal. This all depends on how much the other sides have improved and if the top * have improved yet again. Longmire and Macca both talked about improvement being the key to another premiership.
