Keiren/Gary Jack - youtube must see

You have heard all the "son of the great Gary Jack" accolades, now its time for your AFL types to understand what they are talking about. Kizz posted this in twitter and I just had a look. Can remember why I thought the man was a bit tasty at the time. Also Kizz moves like him. Fascinating footage.

The writer of that ditty must be relieved Garry wasn't a five-eighth.

While we're reminiscing about 1980s Balmain, here's Roy & HG looking back on the 1988 GF.

          I know, way off topic.

This is great stuff. Was raised a Tigers fan and Gary was one of my favorite players. To see his son now capt of Swans is just awesome (plus makes me feel a little old!).

                Standard definition?

Well he helped my Raiders in the 89 grand final with that extra time knock-on. Really can't thank him enough for that.

                    Standard Definition.

We are calling for Channel seven to finally get with the programme and provide us with high definition for AFL, but .... I guess we are now spoiled with the standard of recording available to us in the 21st century. Those pictures go back to the '80s, and our bitch against standard definition is kind of moot in comparison to 25 years ago. However, I am not giving up the fight for HD. Never., she cried.

You say that like you assume that all Melbournians have no clue about RL. It used to be televised live every Saturday afternoon on ABC TV.

Bit quick on the trigger there. I'd say most Sydneysiders (especially in the 80s) would have little idea of the VFL, and vice versa.

Just because the game was televised by the ABC on a Saturday doesnt mean Garry Jack was appreciated in Melbourne.

My parents, who are Raiders supporters, lived in Perth in 1987 and managed to not even know Canberra had made and lost a GF. It was a different era.

The assumption, from the OP was the "AFL types" knew nothing about Garry Jack. I replied by saying not [B]all[B] were clueless about it/him. I followed it almost as closely as VFL.

I was just bringing that to the attention of the poster, not trying to start an argument.

BTW I still think that Aussie Rules is a superior game to League.

Those of us who grew up in Sydney during the golden era of Rugby League all know that GJ was one of the best ever.

No surprises that his genetics have manifested in our newest captain and there will be no surprises here if the young fella makes the grade too.

Thanks for posting thay YT link.
