I wonder if the "other" talent in Sydney had any bearing on his re-signing?

Get ready for the squelling from the stuck pigs in Melbourne about our ability to re-sign our elite players. Oh the joy of it all.

Made my day!! Great news. 4 years is better than I'd hoped for...says a lot about the way Joey's bought in to the culture and the strength of that culture, as mentioned before.

The thing about our culture is that while it is something special it isn't unique. a couple of other clubs have this sort of culture. joey's father played under this sort of culture and his grandfather coached and preached it. WIN! WIN! WIN! Kennedy Snr used to say. All for one and one for all, the team culture and never say die, give until you are sick and then give more. That was also the Barass way too.

I thought Hannas signed a 3 or 4 year deal? I think Jetts and Mummy need to sign next year don't they? They will be here as they all want to win more premierships.

Wolf - methinks though that the "Bloods" culture is being stimulated by the media as an X factor

              and I like it !!!!

A lot of them expire in 2013.

I like it when he bullocks through all the big men in a very manly fashion and then does something sensible and efficient. Then takes his top off. I LOVE THAT!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Anyone know what he's getting per season?

                      Just curious is all.

                        Kennedy signs on

No idea, but he'd be Worth 600-700k on the open market you would think. Perhaps even conservatively. He's the best contested possession and clearance player in the comp, with a killer contested grab and kick for goal to boot.

Best slice of the team pavlova and free choir conducting lessons from Kenny.

I was thinking he'd have to be on around $650,000.

I assumed about the same- he'd get less with us than elsewhere (no less value, of course- but others would throw a bit out there to get him to leave) and the longer contract would help us get him a bit cheaper, I think $650k p.a. + some incentives seems about right.

Niiiice. I still shake my head every time I think about the Hawks letting him go - I know it's been done to death, but by the time his career is finished it may be considered one of the great trade blunders of all time.
