They showed this to the punters on Monday night at the guernsey presentation dinner ('cause we're special premiers, the AFL said we can see it first.)
The room was a collective goosebump.
Awesome.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

Three years ago McVeigh might not have been the player he is today, but would you really have been happy to see him let go? We had plenty of spuds on our list back then who I would have released before McVeigh.Comment

Yep. He seemed to float around outside the packs and never contributed very much. I used to get angry watching him do nothing and would have been very happy to see him go. At least some of the "Hacks" had a crack. BUT I really enjoyed his footy last year.Comment

Another clip from the club site.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Me, me, me. I have had "McVeigh for Brownlow" on my avatar for a long time. Then again five years ago he wasn't one of the "classiest midfielders", he was on his way, but now he has definitely become one of them."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Very proud to have him as our skipper.
Here's the link to his speech.

We have a lot to be proud of at the Swans, but we have an outstanding Captain who is our number one spearhead, and is representing us with style. Both speeches are outstanding.
I am heartily sorry I wanted him removed from the club some years ago. I apologise.
He is a good man, he is a damned good AFL/Swans representative, I am proud to have him as our Captain (number one) and he is all ours.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment
