I did not know this had been changed, shows my obsession with the game has not grown to monstrous proportions I guess. I will say this, I didn't like Eddie all that much before, but now I really don't like him at all. He should be removed from the media or from Collingwood. Preferably the media, the bias in his agenda is worse than ACA and TT put together
You can't argue with a sick mind - Joe Walsh

Just as an aside, It wasn't just AD's comments on our perceived ugliness that irritated me. It's the fact that they immediately looked to curb our gameplan by changing the rules. Funny how the AFL actively tried to speed up the game then and now are looking to slow it down. Football is a dynamic sport, it will naturally adjust without the rules committee barging in every year trying to eliminate aesthetic imperfections.
I actually agree with your comments on the rules. I also think it is time for the rules committee to look at taking some of those rules away because they have made the game more umpire interpretive. The constant changes are annoying and must be confusing and extremely frustrating for the players. It astounds me that the Coaches Association have not called 'ENOUGH'. The players Ass has now so why not the coaches as they have to coach to all the new laws?

Of course Eddy is biased he is the President of Collingwood Football Club. I think he has stuffed any chance Swan would have re-signed with Collinwood by the way. Once his contract is up look for Swan to move elsewhere. Eddy is supposed to be biased as Collingwood President as he represents the interests of the Collingwood Football Club.

They said on the footy show last night that a senior coach will be sitting in with the rules committee from now on and it will more than likely be John Longmire.
