Grand Final Tickets

What's the easiest way to get hold of grand final tickets

Do they only become available towards the end of the season.

As I will already be in Melbourne that weekend I thoght it would be good to go and watch

For the normal punter, not very much chance at all. I think only about 25,000 tickets are allocated to members of the competing clubs. So basically if you're not a member of one of the two clubs playing, you have no hope of getting in on a normal ticket.

There ARE other ways though. If you're an AFL member, or an MCG member, that's one way... if you have connections that can get you corporate tickets.. or if you want to pay $1000+ for a "grand final package" - each club is allocated some tickets that they flog off to raise funds.

Unfortunately it will be very hard unless you're prepared to pay up.

you might still be able to join into one of the various grand final parties around the place - still much more enjoyable to watch the big game in a large group.
