why is it that round 1 had a best player with 6 votes (that is we have 6 players receive votes ) but in rnd 2 only 5.

Yeah it's a bit of a mystery. Usually they give votes to less than 6 players when they've suffered a particularly bad loss, but given that we blitzed them, in the first half at least, I can't understand why they couldn't find another individual to name.

The best lists are almost superfluous anyway.

I'm sure they include names to give certain players confidence and a lift and leave out names to give certain ones a kick up the backside.

I just rely on my own observations and those of ugg and certain others.
