Have a little geezer at the team list from the 2001 Elimination Final (vs Hawthorn):

Paul Kelly, Paul Williams, Wayne Schwass, Jude Bolton, Darryn Cresswell, Brett Kirk, Stuart Maxfield. Throw Jared Crouch, Adam Goodes, and Ryan O'Keefe through there, and I think that midfield, on paper at least thanks to their various stages of their career, was a better one. Yet we are by a long way advanced as a team, currently, compared to that one..

Amazing to think that three of that team are still key contributors nearly 12 years later.

In saying that, I wouldn't want to take anything away from the current crop. They're right up there.

But four of the five above made the team of the century....
