    Crowded house for Cats

Apparently only single seats are left for the round 4 game against the Cats - so any members who won't be going, use the sell-back scheme.

We're not going to beat that '97 crowd with a stand missing, but it should be a great atmosphere.

I'm in town for the game on my way to NZ. Going with one daughter. Melbourne members received no instructions to register an intention to use interstate membership GA entitlements for this game (as we did for the Hawks game late last year). I know quite a few other southern Swans fans are coming up too.

I guess I'll come early and get a first look at Lamb and Mitchell (hopefully both playing 2nd half or ressies).

Can someone give me their best estimate on when the 2nd half of the ressies game would start? And/or what time do you reckon I should get there to ensure we get a good pair of seats amongst the red and white throng at the southern end using unreserved GA tickets/memberships?

Ticketek says GA allocation is exhausted. All that is left are single seats in platinum, gold and restricted vision.

But how many GA tickets do they actually sell? Let's say, for example there are 12000 seats in GA, do they sell 12000 tickets or because of the unreserved nature of the area, they only sell 11000 tickets because they know there will be gaps between groups of people.

And in addition, as Swansongster just added, interstate members are also allowed into GA but they don't have to register beforehand.

Thanks ugg. I'll be following on Twitter until I get there. Maybe @swansreserves can post crowd build-up updates as part of its fine service.

Red Zone members also share GA

Red Zone members also share GA, certainly limits the amount of tix they can actually sell.

If we had all the stands RED zone members would have their own area I suppose.

I wonder what area those newly completed concourse seats underneath the new scoreboard belong to. There were a few people sitting there for the Suns game.

I assume the temporary stand next to the members pavilion is for SCG members. It wasn't occupied for the Suns game, I wonder if they will be making use of it on Friday, every little bit helps!

I just came on to the site to post the same message. I guess it wouldn't be Friday night footy in Sydney if it wasn't cold and wet.

Sydney set for cold blast on Friday

Surely it can't be colder than it was at last year's Geelong SCG game. Those were Arctic-like conditions.

There was a family sitting next to us for last year's game and my enduring memory was of the two kids huddled underneath a blanket in the last quarter, it was THAT cold. I often get a bit nervous when people take their little kids to the footy especially at night games, it can be pretty overwhelming for them with the lights and the roar of the crowd. One of my cousin's kids who lives in the States is really sensitive to loud noises and when she took him to Disneyland he spent most of the evening covering his ears because he knew the fireworks were going to go off. Every kid is different though, some cope really well in many situations.
