    That Damnable Bye

Can one of you stats fiends tell us our performances post bye since it was introduced? I suspct not flash We did better in 05 obviously when we lost in Perth than when we won and had the break, plus we played a very weak Freo in the Prelim in 06.

Most of those have been against collingwood though. So is the bye responsible for our poor Magpie record or the Pies are responsible for our poor bye record?

Yes indeed we were locked into that Pie cycle, at ANZ too, but record not great either way.

If you consider our opponents were usually Collingwood then it truly was a bye cycle built for two.

We had a pretty good win after the bye in September last year...

The trouble with the BYE , it's basically two whole weeks off , just too long .
