What will the Swans look like come the first final?

Based on current injury time frames, where will our players line up, given no further injuries and everyone recovers as inducated?

Backs - Richards, Grundy, Smith, Mal, Rampe, Shaw.
Centre - Rohan (fingers crossed) Jack, Jett's.
Forwards - Mcglyn, Reid, Goodes, Tippet, Pyke, Bird.
    Followers - JPK, Mcveigh, Mumford.
Interchange - Parker, Mitchell, ROK, Everitt.

I could be missing people but damn it's hard with all our good players.

Exciting stuff! Was it just me, or did Longmire at the after-match presso look like a kid who just got twice as many toys as he was expecting for his birthday?

Based on the side that played on Friday night:

            Goodes in for X
            Jetta for Jack
Shaw into the backline, McVeigh into the middle and Lamb out
            Mumford or Reid for White

Then it gets harder. Will they try to play both Mumford and Reid in the side, along with Tippet and Pyke? Is there a spot for LRT if he makes it back to full fitness? (My guess is he won't. There must also be some questions over Shaw). Is our forward line more balanced with a smaller player in there, like Morton. He hasn't done enough this year to demand a spot but he does balance the structures a bit. Can Everitt hold onto his spot?

In all likelihood, Longmire's choices will be made a little easier by ongoing injuries.

              Hannebery, and Bolton for starters.

Doubt Rohan is any kind of chance this year.

              FB : Smith Grundy Rampe

              HB : Malceski Richards Shaw

              C : Jetta Okeefe Hannebery

              HF : Goodes Reid McVeigh

              FF : McGlynn Tippett Parker

              FOL : Pyke Kennedy Jack

INT & SUB - FROM : Mitchell, Bolton, Bird, Everitt, Mumford, LRT, Lamb, Morton....etc etc

So yes in the unlikely scenario that everyone is available, it will be extremely hard.

Lrt is a finals specialist. He will come in for everitt. Morton is also in our best 22

Therefore parker and mcveigh move back to the midfield pushing out lamb and mitchel.

To be honest I didnt think jude would still be holding his place. He may be vulnerable

Can't see Mitchell getting dropped for anyone. He's been fantastic and will only get better, only 4 games into his career. Morton may be expendable now that we have Tippett in the forward line. I know they are different type players but we have some serious firepower now so Mortons X factor may not be as necessary as it was before.

I would be surprised if LRT and Shaw make it back and get in ripping form in time.

Even if LRT was up for selection, who's to say that Everitt isn't the better choice?

                    Morton and Mitchell to stay.

                    Rohan unlikely.

There will probably be more injuries in all likelihood.

Defence: The back 6 needs Everitt's height. I can't see Shaw & Rampe both playing without a tall in either LRT or Everitt. We're just too short otherwise, which is why AJ is so important to us. I tend to think Shaw may now be pushing it to be ready for finals. If he is, it'll be a very tough decision.

Mids: All currently fit (unless you class Jetta as a mid) so no need for conjecture

Forwards: Reid, LRT, Morton, Jetta to potentially come in.

                        Ruck: Mummy

Taking Friday night's team you can assume White, B Jack and Lamb out with Mummy, Goodes and Jetta back in. After that it gets harder. Will LRT & Reid come in and for whom? Mitchell already appears close to undroppable IMO and Rampe is the other newish player but he's filling a role.

Odds are they won't all be fit, but if they are it'll be such a hard call for the panel. Normally you'd include Everitt in the "outs" but he has been so good the last month or more that he's holding his place on form at the moment. We need a couple of games in dry weather before I make my decision! Rohan is no chance, so we can't be romantic about it. He's a 2014 return. The club's rehab program has been about saving his career, not about saving his 2013 season

That's kind of what I expected and was hoping for.
Can't remember a time where there were so many opinions on our best team.
We're in a pretty good place medium term.

Rohan is 2 weeks away according to his Twitter account. How long will his stint in the 2s be? Hard to say

lambie with 4 qtrs is now a wildcard

he is an extremely skill full footballer

with jetts still out he may get more game time yet

but if and when jetts comes back from injury he makes way for lewis

i would guess at least a subtle build up of game time with garys injury ie

                              1 qtr = week 1

                              2 qtrs = week 2

                              3 qtrs = week 3

                              4qtrs = week 4
