He's definitely available to us for free isn't he? Have to nominate him on the Senior list though as other clubs would snaffle him if we waited till Rookie Draft.

Wow.....just checked out the Reserves votes and Jake Lloyd has polled in the top 5 (sometimes 6) in 11 out of 14 games!!!!....1 BOG. Man for a smallish (180 x 76) long distance running (15.3 beep) vanilla midfielder that is really impressive. Says a hell of a lot about work-rate and determination and a good footy brain. Club called him a "neat" midfielder......to my mind the neatest player in the AFL is Sam Mitchell - pretty much perfect delivery to 30 metres by hand or foot left or right.... yes please :-)

To put the votes in perspective, our 2 fast tall flankers from the Senior Draft (Marsh and Dick) have totaled 23 games for not a single vote!
Mitchell 7 games for 4 vote efforts....2 BOGs
Lamb 7 games for 5 vote efforts....3 BOGs
Craig Bird 2 games for 2 BOGs :-)

The percentage of "in the votes" makes interesting reading

        Bird 100%
        Walsh 83%
        Lloyd 78%
        Everitt 75%
        Lamb 71%
        Cunningham 67%
        Mitchell 57%
        Morton 50%
        Rampe 50%
        Armstrong 37%
        Biggs 35%
        Brown 28%
        Richards 27%
        Membrey 20%
        Jack 20%
        Towers 7%
        Lockyer 7%

Hate to say to other watchers, but the Towers voting percentage does not surprise me. Sometimes I wonder if he is even playing that day and he should be hard to miss given the size of him.

Some of the others which appear low don't worry me. I see them doing stuff off the ball etc, and some of them are still built from pencils.

Great piece of research, very informative.

All out of contract at the end of this year!!! Not to mention B. Jack, of course
Rampe got 2 years a couple of weeks ago (presumably as a Senior Player seeing as he was elevated earlier in the season)

Ugg does an incredible job in keeping us informed with all the data and commentary .. thank you, thank you

I only started following AFL .. not because of the Swans (although easy to follow .. such a great team in every way) but because a friend of mine has worked with Jake Lloyd over a few years at Horsham. I have never meet Jake but I do get the feeling at the start of the year he knew that playing in the halves for the Swans in Ressies was going to be a hard gig to progress. He had to be extra good/dedicated and patient. I get the feeling he is totally on track. Others will progress before him (and have) but he appears to be an excellent long term prospect.

Just one trivia question I believe Jake has 2 BOG. When only 4 players get points and he gets 4 pts does that count as BOG?

It's not necessarily BOG, but BOG for the swans. As only 4 players got votes, then yes he was BOG for the Swans.

                    My late comments
                    • Jake Lloyd - was my BOG until being taken out midair while going for a mark(someone told me on Twitter it was Jacob Townsend). He revved it up in the second quarter and had a glut of possessions all over the ground. Listed on the injury list as being out this week with a concussion which is a real shame.
                    • Matt Dick and Harry Marsh - Did an interesting swap in the last quarter with Dick going into midfield and Marsh taking Dick's place in defence. The move was made because the Giants were playing Adam Tomlinson (who been playing the 2nd ruck/tall forward in their seniors) in the midfield and was having an influence that Marsh was finding it hard to curb.
                    • Dan Robinson - Clearance machine with clean hands good to see him have a good game after a few quietish ones.
                    • Harry Cunningham - Probably our best player going forward, his runs and long kicks set up a few goals.
                    • Tony Armstrong - One of his better games, he really made an effort to get involved (even if a lot of them were handball receives) and get the static Swans play going from half back. Defensively was solid, stuck a few tackles which he normally misses.
                    • Xavier Richards - GWS made a concerted effort to isolate him in the goalsquare against the resting ruckman. The backfired on the Giants as he excelled in these one on one contests, outmarking Brogan, Downie and Thornton in impressive style. But he played quite loose (I believe with the view of zoning off) and conceded marks on the lead to the lumbering ruckmen, and unforgivably in one instance gave Brogan so much room the former Port man had time to stop, pivot and launch a shot at goal. Has good closing speed and was perhaps was relying on that aspect of his game to compensate for his looseness.
                    • Lloyd Perris - fitted right in and was even barking around instructions to his teammates on where to stand or who to man up. On the small side but not afraid to crash in and fight for the ball.
                    • Dylan Roos - has filled out somewhat from last year's skinny model. Had a few fair touches on the wing and across the half forward area.
                    • Mitch Morton - played most of the game forward well shut down by Plowman. Had a stint up the ground when Rohan came on in the 3rd quarter but went back forward for the last.
                    • Dean Towers - not as impressed as some others were, 2 of his 3 goals were due to dropped marks (great clean pickups though) and the other was probably more due to Cunningham's speed through the middle. I realise that opportunities are few and far between when your midfield is being dominated but I felt he needs to get involved a lot more.
                    • Gary Rohan - enough already said about him from others, loved the cheer he received when he first came on the ground as well as his clever finish for his second goal.
                    • Tom Head - battled gamely in the ruck, has a fantastic leap which allowed him to win some centre bounces but was convincingly beaten in the ball ups when he doesn't get the chance to run and jump at the ball, and couldn't compete with the size of Brogan or the reach of Downie.
                    • Shane Biggs - played and beaten by Wilson for most of the day. Field kicking and from the kick ins were below par. Did get a little opportunity in the centre square set up late in the game.

Thank you ugg. Kind of forgot Dan Robinson and his clearances. Completely agree with you there, and Tom Head too who was up against some serious size and experience.
