Superb! I can only assume that's going to be one hell of a pay jump for Luke! Well deserved.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

But probably less than other clubs, desperate for a young, tough, resilient and competitive midfielder would have offered.

I have to agree, I imagine there would have been a fair few clubs rather interested and willing to part with a few dollars more than we can. Normally you'd expect to see those sort of big dollars coming from the bottom clubs (and I'm sure they would), but I think he's basically the perfect young up and coming midfielder for a top 8 side- earns his place in the 22 and contributes, spends time in the midfield but is also valuable as a forward; but is just so very young that he could contribute whilst you are having success but then also be around to lead a new young group coming through. I can think of few top teams that he wouldn't get a run in.

He gets nowhere near enough credit for just how impressive he has been in his short career. He'll have racked up 50 games before he turns 21, and he hasn't played many poor ones in that.

St Kilda would've been keeping an eye on him I'm certain of that. While they have holes in every position, Watters has Publicly stated earlier this year they need to go out and get more midfielders. Considering his talent, age and contract status Parker would've been high up on that list i would imagine.

I don't know how that stacks up against other years and other clubs....but....
                          Lamb
                          Johnson
                          Smith

                          White
                          Everitt
                          Bolton
                          Shaw
                          Morton

Seems like a very manageable group of signings....With Mummy the notable exception.

Maybe depend on whether Jude and Rhyce want to run around next year. If one or both were to retire it would free up some dollars for Mummy, Smithy and AJ. Hopefully White, Everitt, Morton and Lamb can be accommodated as well.

They'll all sign imo. Bolton might retire and Morton could be pushed out.
