    Finals: Player Compensation Question

Do players receive additional compensation for playing in finals? I've never seen anything on this issue.

I remember reading that Horse received a 200k bonus for winning the premiership. What about the players?

So, do players play finals for pride, money or both?

How does the AFL divide the revenue it gets for the finals campaign?

There is a >$1 million prize purse to the premiership winning side, which is split in half between payment to the club and player payments (players get more); I believe the share is circa $30k per premiership player and I think it is outside the salary cap. In theory some players may have performance bonuses for winning the premiership built into their contracts as well, but I'm not sure how common that would actually be as it would need to fit within the salary cap if realised.
