I am a bit sad for the Essendon footy club at the resignation of David Evans. He was a really good person and a totally dedicated President of the Essendon Footy club. The fact that he has fallen on his sword is maybe a portent of what is to come and I think James Hird and the coaching staff are in denial. If the situation were not dire I am sure Evans would have backed his coach and soldiered on but I think he resigned because he has been let down by a man he trusted and he no longer trusted him. Next week the decision will be handed down by the Anti-doping Authority and I believe the decision will not be in favour of the position James Hird has taken through this whole saga. "We have done nothing wrong! We are innocent! I know nothing! Start to remind you of Schultz in 'Hogan's Heroes' anyone?
