This is just an impression from an onlooker: I've never met Davo to talk to. He seems to have an enthusiasm for his work without taking himself too seriously. It's a valuable combination, and I'm very pleased he's part of the show.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I spoke with Mr Mattner after the game on Sunday about what he's been up to since he retired as my sponsor child.
He's helping out with the 2s, and is talking to the club about something more permanent next year.
      Hope the talks go well.

      As for Davo.

      Run, Davo. Run.

Never seen him run as much in a game before. It's refreshing.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
