It pains me to say this (badly), but Goodesy won't be back this year.
I'm crawling back into my hole now.
Call me if he comes back.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Is this something unofficial you know?

If he's fit he'll be back, even if just finals, a la Bradshaw.

Horse pretty much said so to the media today.
Hope he makes it back in time for the granny.

If Jesse gets bumped for an underdone Goodes, as he was by Bradshaw, I won't be happy (unless the result is different, then I'll just feel really sorry for Jesse).

Yep, it doesn't sound good for Goodes. All the more reason we should play both Jetta and Rohan. Jesse White becomes a truly important player. And we'd be @@@@@@ without Tippett.

This year I don't think that losing Goodes has anywhere near the impact it would have had in previous years. We'll be right. Just need Jetta back, full game time for Rohan, plus Reid and Morton as emergencies.

You have to keep in mind that he has played less than 25 senior games in his whole career and he is coming back from a very serious injury and takes alot of game time to get your touch and sharpness back from such a long lay off. Jetta was our leading goal kicker last year and after a slow start to the season was coming back into some form, yes he has had a lengthy layoff as well but not the same as Garys. Jetta comes into the team imo
                This. If he's fit.

How could Jetta come back in after such a lengthy time out of the game? Why would he be a good sub he has no match fitness? The idea of the sub is to come on and have an impact, imho this is not the time of year to have a sub who needs to gain match fitness. Coming into finals surely we need the best fit 24 players available? It would be too big a risk to bring even 1 more player at this stage who is not 100% - apart from Goodes - maybe.

                  Cheers

We'd be rolling the dice if we played Jetta in the finals without any match experience. He might squeeze in for the Hawks game next week.

If Rohan shows good touch in the last two games, no reason he shouldn't be considered for the finals games. He's an impact player - he doesn't have to get 30 possessions. If he gets 12 touches that'll do some damage.

Good to see Gazza starting on the field this week. Whatever happens with our other injured players, I'll be philosophical - it's just so fantastic to have Gazza back...
