    Changing of the guard?

Jude out for Mitchell ... & Jude not even an emergency? Hope he's just resting to get himself primed for finals ...

Crazy. What are the odds of getting the flu just when the od legs look like they needed a rest?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I actually think it's a possibility that they needed to bring Tom Mitchell back in, but couldn't decide who to drop, so gave Jude a rest to give them time to figure out our best team for finals. Someone is going to be very unlucky...

Saw the video from training today, Jude was bright and laughing so doubt he's unwell, unless he came down with a lurgy just before selection time :-) Reckon it's a freshen up before the finals, we lose nothing with Mitchell as his replacement.

Spot on. If we lose this week, expect to see another 2 or 3 'illnesses' next week.

the rotation or soreness and the flu is just smart right now !!!

go horse - keep them primed and ready for the finals.......thats all that matters right now

Just watched the replay, dropped three sitters in front of his face, just hit the hands and didn't stick. Catch those and it was probably another two to three goals to Jude and us - costly if the game was tight.

If we lose this week, agree there will be another couple of key mids rested next week. O'Keefe and Hanners would be my guess and Hawthorn could do the same thing if they've got top spot locked up. Better to play Hawthorn at the MCG first final than Freo in Perth I reckon.

I thought they might rest Parker. Incredibly strong, but only a kid after all.

Keep playing McGlynn, Lamb and Rohan though

If we lose this week, unless Hawthorn unexpectedly get beat this week (or freo for that matter) it'll all but set that we will play Hawthorn in week 1 of the finals. Im not convinced that playing the Hawks at the MCG is better than Freo in Perth. I fancy us against Freo to be honest, and we certainly haven't struggled playing at Paterson's across the last few years against the Weagles.
