There aren't that many more we could have brought in. Here's hoping Smith's and Hannebery's injuries only keep them out for this week.

You have to consider Freo's opposition this week vs. ours, also. I would say it's more important for the guys who are in the team to play themselves back into some form ahead of the finals.
Agree. Initially I thought we should have done what Freo did but then you have to put faith in the coaching staff to know our playing squad better than we outsiders (ie need for rest, need for form, game plan etc). Fingers crossed we have a good hit out tomorrow night with NO injuries or suspensions.

Ah, hadn't heard that. Thanks Ugg, I thought he retired otherwise.

In terms of Freo we also have to consider that they will almost certainly be travelling from Perth to Victoria and back twice in successive weeks. Resting 10 players under those circumstances is perfectly understandable. We don't have 10 players we can bring in.

Not overly happy that lamb is omitted. he didnt set the world on fire in a team that was thrashed. it peeves me when we have a last on first off selection - selected as sub, did little out you go. Anyway, all I want from tonight is a bruise free game without suffering any injuries and a demonstration that we can match them inside - because that have crushed us inside the last two games, and our inside players arent likely to change much for next week

Hopefully Lamb is just a rest for the finals (like what Tom had a couple of weeks ago..)

Dumb match day question- does my membership include free public transport? I don't think it does, I've never tried but I just noticed it for tickets as part of the general matchday info.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Only for ANZ games (I'm assuming you mean to the game, I don't think you can use to take the train to the Central Coast or anything).

Yep, I meant to the game- but I'll be coming down from the top of the Blue Mountains so it's basically the same thing as using it for a holiday!

Thanks for that, I usually drive to Homebush and only PT to SCG games so wasn't too sure.

Barry Hall said on 927 this morning that Tippett might be a late withdrawal from the team tonight.

But who will we mindlessly bomb it long to?

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
