If it's not to be for us this year then I'm with you, I'd love to see Pav win a flag.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I could handle the blues winning a flag. It would allow them to knock off the drug cheats for most flags won, and be amazing from 9th

I'm not sure why but I lost respect for Ross Lyons in the way he left St. Kilda. He bailed out, leaving the team in need of a rebuild after failing to get the Holy Grail and the way he did it showed me that he is a 'the end justifies the means' person. I will trample over anyone and anything so long as I get what is best for me. I know that is harsh but that's how I see the arguably 'best coach in the competition'. So sorry Freo players if it is not the Swannies I would prefer the Hawks to win. PS: I like Alistair Clarkson!

Freo - because I still remember their openly kooky supporters getting on here ahead of GFs against West Coast to mock their neighbours and cheer us on.
'Delicious' is a fun word to say

I watch them a lot and I don't agree. They are way behind Hawthorn and Geelong in the dirtiness stakes. Ballantyne is an annoying little terrier, but he plays his heart out for his team, and gets beaten up pretty regularly. Luke Hodge has to be one of the dirtiest and most protected players in the league. His snipe on Mike Pyke that wasn't even looked at by the MRP was not a 'one-off". Freo are hard and tough and didn't allow Geelong to intimidate them. But Geelong were the dirty team on the day.

You beat me to it cherub, and agree totally with what you say.

Add to Hodge, Jordan Lewis & Sam Mitchell. Dirty snipers both of them.

Cyril Rioli's chicken wing tackles that have been going on for years. Dirty little protected species.

And I've never forgiven Clarkson for the disgraceful exhibition in London in 1987. Equal to Leigh Matthews behind the play belting of Bruns as the lowest act I've ever seen on a football field.

Yeah Freo are more honest than the rest. Ballantyne is ferocious at the footy and chirpy without it. Good entertainment.
