The one thing that I loved most about Regs game tonight was his sticky hands. There were a few tricky hand balls that he snatched up with one hand that would of been fumbled a month ago. Well done good sir! What a fantastic win by the boys. Very very proud of all of them

Feels like we've been freefalling for six weeks and have come out of a nosedive a few inches above the ground - just enough to fly across the Nullarbor.
Oh that's awesome. I missed most of the game tonight but I am already enjoying the nervousness of the Purple Ones......

Also just quickly on Mitchels injury. Is that the ankle he has had trouble with previously?

Haven't seen the game yet but just from reading reports and forums it seems we seriously put our heads down after more injuries instead of throwing it all in. A loss tonight would have been disastrous.

Richards should be okay and I think Tippett will get up. That leaves only Mitchell to replace and Lamb can take that role. If we're truly up for this game and come out breathing fire, we're a chance.

Fantastic win. How good was the captain! One commentator said at one stage, 'There must be three McVeigh's out there - he's getting one in every five touches'.

I must admit to a few anxious moments early in the last quarter when the unspeakable commentators were talking up the Blues and urging them on. Our boys had every reason to be exhausted.

Here's hoping that Teddy doesn't get pinged. We can cope without KT and Mitchell but Teddy out would be a real blow. We would have to be very desperate to bring LRT in!

Absolutely no doubt we tanked the last quarter. 9 goals up at 3QT so why run ourselves ragged when we need to travel to Perth? As much as a 70+ win would have been great it was the professional decision.

I agree. We did nothing but try to control the pace of that qtr. Longmire said post-match that they didn't need to kick anymore goals, just to control and slow down the play, which they did.

Also, how good were Biggs and Cunningham? I've got more fingers than they've got AFL games between them, yet they come into a sudden death final where we're two players down and play their role perfectly! Seriously, what is Jared Crouch feeding them in the ressies? If I was Paul Roos, Jared's would be the first door I'd be knocking on!

Absolutely magnificent effort by the Bloods! And how beautiful to beat the cocky vultures from Carlton!

I reckon the Melbourne media is actually very kind to us but it would be lovely to see the few who wrote us off this week have the courage to come out and say just what a huge performance tonight, and in fact our whole season, was considering our injuries.

                  Go the mighty Bloods!

have to agree wholeheartedly ..this team epitomises courage ....only champion teams find a way to win when they really shouldn't be able to ...I have high hopes that they can conjure up one more miracle in perth and give themselves a chance of back to back ..if they did pull it off it would be the greatest show of depth of a team in the history of the afl....come on you mighty bloods..

                      The most stunning
Moment from Maccas box of Magic was his lightning shimmy in the North Eastern pocket with one hand on the ball I think followed instantly by a beautiful kick through the big ones.
It was good to to see Jetta dashing around freely showing up the three Amigos, although he should have hand balled to Jack for that northen end goal .
Having to wait so long for their next kick in battle may not work in Freos favour, they are now in uncharted waters.

I have to say that Parker has more influence as a HFF then a midfielder after a few efforts of late

he has that Chapman / stevie J about him at the moment !

Richards won't be OK, he went past the ball lined the player up and put the shoulder in....unfortunately to his head....

That'll be ...reckless, low/ medium impact, high contact....2-3 weeks, down by 1 with an early plea.

Also, I very much doubt Tippett will be up for a high intensity game on a big ground in Perth.

But that's OK, not really but, we will bring in some more, hopefully fit, soldiers and give it a red hot crack.

As for that disgraceful white elephant of a stadium. I would love to hear what the players association think of this substandard surface.

Please AFL, pay out the contract and let us go back to our home....The, billiard table like, 48000 capacity, SCG !!

                            Awesome game.

                            McVeigh is an absolute gem.

Out of interest, where are all the flogs who have bagged Grundy over the past year or two?

Looked like a fair bump within the rules to me.
