I was surprised McVeigh was even in the team after he limped of the field against the Hawks. I didn't see this legendary performance coming.. A great win that will be up there as one of our best.. Lets hope the gods are kind and we can field a competetive team next week.. I hope Rohan steps it up today in the ressies and can turn it on next week..

What a performance - of course we'll be written off next week but we've gotta be a rough chance at Subi....

Gee how wonderful was ANZ Stadium too. Great place for footy eh?

Agree re C7, This commentary team is getting worse. Contradicts itself regularly, as for Darcey being groomed C7 should get rid of him, only bright light is Cameron Ling.
Back to the game, what an effort, to be in the prelims again after the year from hell, must be 20 13 causing the trouble. With the injuries we have had, 8 new boys (counting HC and KT here) with 4 rookies playing during the year a loss next week would still say the year to be a GREAT effort. No news panel seems to give us credit for the year and glossing over the fact that for most of the last half of the season we have had 7, 8 and 9 premiership players missing. I still haven't counted out next week BUT .

So proud of our boys last night. Many a team woild have thrown in the towel after losing tippett and mitchell.

I knew they would be hurting after last week and would want to redeem themselves. That they most definitely did. It was just another reminder of why we all love this club so much.

Next week will need a miracle for us to get within cooee of freo over there - but we have no doubt the boys will give it a real crack and there is no shame of going out at the prelim stage.

We had so many great lerformers last night, but I must mention Luke Parker. I thought he was absolutely superb - we all know just how good he is, but he took it to a new level last night. Our future is bludy bright!

And Mcveigh was superb - we need the same again from the captain next week if we are to he a shot.

Cheer Cheer boys - so proud of them!

Re the Richards bump, it is different to Chapman and Franklin in that it was a legitimate, albeit high, shepherd where our team had the ball as opposed to a late hit on a player after kicking the ball

Haven't read the whole thread, but what I took out of the game was...

Richards would be a massive loss. Possibly a season defining loss (if you know what I mean without saying it)

Jetta was pretty handy. He and Rohan could cause some problems.

White in his new role was provided real drive. Well done on Longmire for not throwing him at FF when Kurt went out.

Grundy still looks lazy to me at times. either he's slowing down of the players around him are speeding up.

McVeigh pulled his finger out, as did Hannebery

              Parker was stellar.

Rampe is still very very important.

Mummy did well to solidly play out a game lacking an interchange for a big man.

White is terrific, a polite but forceful bully, fending off opponents at will. Hope he's a Swan for his whole career.

Franklin wasn't suspended for the late hit though, it was for high contact and that's the same charge that Ted will receive

A big well done to Richie and Ronnie. Both did their job and didn't look out of place on the big stage.
Macca on Ch7 this morning said McGlynn will play and Rohan and LRT are a chance if they have good games today.

Considering all our injuries any win from here is a massive bonus. Swans were fantastic last night and proved yet again what a great team they are.

Excellent thought process DA. Makes a lot sense, especially having Horse so pleased with the boys. Wouldn't have been if they weren't following orders.

Not sure if Drey was though. And the wonderful Jesse had a few anxiety moments. Proud of our kiddies. Future looks brilliant

BT at his all time worse last night at the start of the final quarter. Surely that form of barracking disguised as commentary is punishable

It was pretty blatant, wasn't it? BT is definitely the worse commentator in the business, even Captain Obvious (aka Bruce) is more tolerable.

The Big Turkey was probably trying to stop people from switching off Ch 7. He did go on but then did stop half way through the quarter.

I thought Richo was very funny in his responses and is always great to listen to.
