I agree with on-baller - this is fair game for critical analysis. Most supporters are excusing Swans for being tired and missing some premiership players. But there was more to it than that - why tired? In previous games / years when we are at full strength and playing well, people gloat about our depth and how there's other players who could also break in to the team.
Yes, some more finals player's experience would have helped but I was disappointed with Q1 and Q2 - we didn't have any answers to Freo's intensity and seemed to lack a game plan to counter such. To me it seemed like we turned up at half time (2 goals until then), mainly due to a mental reset. But we had the same players after half time. Should have been better prepared for Freo's game plan and tagging tactics from the crack. The scoreboard flattered us in the end.

Will you change your mind if the Hawks don't get the ball for the first half this afternoon? I posted here that the Freo Q2 was the best played by any team in 2013.

Take out the equivalent of seven of the best players from any team, any team, then bring in some underdone players (unless you want to play toppies) and then say "play the best teams in the competition with this cobbled together A-B team" for five of the last seven weeks. Oh, and don't get tired or let niggling injuries get to you (because we don't have anyone to replace you) when you are playing a team that has had two weeks off in the past month. And if you lose we will all say don't dare think that any of us will think that injuries played any part in the team failing at the end of the season. If kids like Biggs and Cunningham can't replace Goodes and LRT - or if Rohan can't live up to his potential after goofing off for 18 months - then they just shouldn't be playing for the Swans. Time for as clean out.
