    Retirements

554627_10151558399126324_1911902370_n.jpgMattner, Bolts and Mitch gone. Does anyone else think there may be another one or two this week? Goodes, ROK, LRT, Shaw? I wouldn't be surprised.
So why was ROK so sad?

Because Vader Fyfe killed Obi-Wan Bolts. It's just him and Han Goodes now... oh, and Chewie LRT!

Brave heart, Bloods. Fremantle aren't invincible, we'll end the Purple Tyranny when next we meet no matter how confident of victory they are. Hubris has defeated many an Empire:

Made that this morning to cheer myself up. Almost worked.

The remainder might be on contracts but that doesn't mean they haven't decided not to go again after last night. There comes a time when waking up every morning after a match is just agony no matter how fit a player is. When a player gets over 30 this is his lot. Marty talked about it and Goodsie, LRT, Ryano and Rhyce must all experience it now. Ryano is the fittest man alive but today he would be hurting, that was a punishing match, they hit us with howitzers.

I would not be surprised to see Rhyce and either Ryano or Goodsie give it away. LRT will probably have another crack.

Good stuff Swanwolf. I guess you could make one up for any alternate reality and never be sad! Like the time you hosted that Victoria's Secret model party....

I think they all will stay. Shaw will be fully recovered from the LARS by the retirement deadline, so his decision would be based on how he comes through. I would think the ROK would love to play another year and get to 300 games. LRT seems like he's fine. I suppose the same goes for Goodes as Shaw. If he's feeling okay next month, why not at least play out the contract.

                  Why was ROK sad?

ROK knew that Jude's choice of curry at lunch would hurt him later in the day. He's saying: I begged him not to have it.......

How about losing a prelim and a team mate.

Agree. These dudes are on big money for kicking and catching a ball. I'd be riding that wave as long as possible.

Nice touch that Freo stopped their celebrations and cheered off our champion.

Ryno probably understood that this was the end of an era and after giving 110%, the let down from loosing any match let alone a prelim. Well I can understand!

however I do like AG onion ooopsion..

From what Longmire said i his press conference Shaw, LRT & Goodsie are all playing on. Goodsie and Rhyce have both had ops and look to get back to training as soon as possible in the pre-season. So all will have a pre-season of sorts. Mitchell has also had an op and will be back training quickly apparently. So no retirement for the old blokes but no mention of Ryano although he is contracted one more year.
