Isnt the problem with older ruckmen usually concentrated in their knees and legs? Rugby would put some stress on those areas but not as much as playing ruck for 5-8 years I would of thought

Now that really excites me !! Love him as a player and seems to be a nice guy.

Might be a nice guy, with a big leap on him, but to me he is overated in terms of genuinally being able to dominate a game from the ruck. still young though and will no doubt improve more.

vs a Ruckman being jumped into every game of their life. 360 direction changes constantly. Don't get me wrong i'm sure he was hit and worked hard.

So he will be Polly Farmer in 2 years time, around the same time as you said we will be screwed? I'm still confused.

I doubt he even worked his body that hard in rugby. Rugby union was his game which is trained and played at a far lower physical intensity than rugby league based on reports from players who have done both. Also, he played for the Canadian side ... minows in that sport, so the intensity of the games he played in on a weekly basis would likely have been much less than if he played for one of the main rugby nations. And if he was a fullback ... in rugby union they do far less hard stuff than a rugby league fullback or an AFL ruckman.

Go to 6:17. I think Ireland pretty much summarized the view of a majority of swans fans to the reaction of opposition supporters right there.

So if Naismith will be Polly Farmer in 2 years wouldn't that make him a fairly decent ruck already........confused.
Pyke can ruck and so can Tippett. If that dries up his goal tally we will have to recruit someone who can kick 60-70 goals a year.
                        Oh wait

Actually I have read several times that injuries sustained as a professional rugby player were a motivating factor in Pyke looking for a career change.

I doubt very much if a rugby forward would agree with that, although your point is quite valid in Myke's case as a fullback...

Jolly is coming back and playing for about $2 a game. Feels that he owes us and there isn't any $ left...

Swans to recruit tall's from the good old USofA - Mike Pike is going to train them.

The COLA is Ok with the other clubs providing we are not winning and we go a whole decade without any major recruiting coup and we just pick players from other clubs who cannot get a game there. That's it in a nutshell.
