Geez I wish there wasn't so many night games, makes it difficult when you have young kid/s who are also big swannies fans. Also makes the family membership not worth the $.

The earlier start might be a challenge for those that do not work in the city.

Great draw from a football perspective. The best thing is no Geelong game!

From a Melbourne fan's perspective - great to go back to 5 games, but I'm disappointed that four are at night - won't be able to take the kids.

Good draw, it's a shame we only get 8 home games though.

Possibly. Still, we all know about it with plenty of lead up time so we can always plan to leave work at a reasonable hour that day. Makes it hard for interstate fans or away supporters though who now may have to plan an extra day off.

That fixture really couldn't be much better. No excuses now Swannies. Might be time for a membership upgrade.

When it says "host TV network Foxtel" does it mean it won't be shown live on free to air /

Outside NSW/ACT, it won't be on FTA. It'll still be on 7Mate up here though, just like all interstate games are always FTA in their own state now.

I usually attend any and every Sydney based match I can but driving to Blacktown on a Thursday night to watch a NAB Cup game against the Weagles does not sound very enticing to me.

But I thank our lucky stars that it is the Eagles who are flying here rather than us flying there.

WTF. Thursday night? That eliminates the kids. It also eliminates a goodly number of people who do not live within the city precincts. I wonder if the AFL know how big the city of Sydney actually is. I can get there, but I know of at least 8 people who have put a ruler through this date. They actually have jobs. Why couldn't they give this to Collingwood instead I ask?

Sydney/NSW will probably get those games on 7mate.
