Thanks for that. Looked at on Google Earth and can see the remains of the ground markings. That straight wing on the side puts me in mind of the old Glenferrie Oval where Hawthorn used to play. One wing was delineated by the railway line. People complain that the SCG is smaller than optimal but the Glenferrie ground could be covered by a travelling rug. And the players were always knee deep in black mud!

There are no seats (except the grass which isn't on elevated ground so the viewing angle is pretty terrible for play on the fat side) so bring your own chair if you can't stand for the whole game

Answering my own question looks like they have updated heights and weights. Looks like they have swapped the metrics for the Jacks and Mitchell's, unless Tom has had an amazing growth spurt

I agree with dimelb. I'm just going on my Pat, so if any RWO types feel like coming up and saying 'hello', please feel free. I look just like one of the players except I'm 15-20 years older, unfit, slightly overweight and not a footy player!

Ok, seriously, I'm in jeans and a grey Swans heritage polo.

We are so envious of you Sydney siders this next few weeks. No pre-season matches in Melbourne is a great disappointment to our family this year. Hope you all have a good time this afternoon RWOers and please post through as much info as possible.

So who are we all barracking for? Myself, I'm for the Swans in the 1st & 3rd quarters and for the Bloods in the 2nd & 4th. Therefore I'll be best pleased with a draw.

                  Go you SwBloanods!!

For those not following the Twitter feed at #Swansintra, Nick Davis just had a shot at goal.

I stayed to 3/4 time. The teams were mixed and matched with players switching sides in the quarter time breaks to suit the coaches desire to see different things. There was a good crowd out there and talking to a mate who is working with the club, they got a far bigger turnout than they were expecting.

The usual suspects looked as good as ever, but of the younger/new players, Nankervis and Aliir looked good - I'm now officially on the Chandwagon...he probably won't get a game early on, but give him a couple of years and between him and Laidler who looked solid I think we have some good backup to Ted and Reg. Reid spent time at both ends of the ground while Buddy spent the first half deep forward before pushing up the ground a bit more in the 3rd.

On the hairstyle front, no new beards it seemed - Rhyce and Mal still have theirs while Macca's is gone, but LRT's hair is a bit shorter at the front so it looked a little funny.

                        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Just watched Foxnews so I'd suggest getting a big BJ tattoo!

That's what they are reporting - Brandon Jack best, surely thats not right, are they winding us up?

Maybe get a KJ tattoo on your other arm :-)
