Pretty good effort by Barwick with his original story. He got us offloading Mummy and Ev, and maybe Morton was going to be traded before he decided to retire. No other hack got anywhere near close. The club must have been soiling themselves when they heard it. Clearly, reporting is his metier, not forecasting.

His claim to fame is that he was the "Ground Announcer" for the Wests / Tigers in Rugby League for many years and was a sports generalist in the radio media before he jumped on the the Swans Bandwagon - like most journalists - well connected - for everyone that he gets a right he gets a lot wrong !!!

Was he connecting the 2 statements? Franklin is unpopular so the Swans will finish below 5th. He's added 2 + 2 there and it's equalled a bunch of potatoes.

There's 40+ players in a club and not everyone will get along and be best mates. Strong leadership, culture and professionalism allow any strain like this to be channeled correctly. Do those 3 attributes remind you of any club we know.

As a result I don't place too much credence on anything that comes out of his mouth.
