Getting all the big contracts signed while we still have the COLA. I think the threat of losing the COLA is actually a big incentive for players to sign long term contracts now.

There were some whispers that one AFL club in particular made strong overtures to Gazza recently so it's a great relief that he's decided to stay.Comment

Just saw a replay of Gazza's last goal from yesterday. He looked dead on his feet, then launched the ball from just over the 50 mtr. mark and it sailed through more than half way up the goal post. The ball must have gone a good 70 mtrs. He looks ready to have an enormous season and move right into the elite category.Comment

yeah it appeared he winded himself when landing with the ball on the ground - then gets up and nails a barry hall style kick at goal !!!"be tough, only when it gets tough"

His ankle was giving him some grief last night but played out the game so must be ok. He laid a great tackle late in the 3rd qrt, stayed on the ground grabbing his right ankle. Hobbled to the bench, put ice on for 5 minutes and then re joined the team at the huddle. Played out the final qrt but was slightly hampered. Hope all is ok!Swannies for life!Comment

His tackling, pressure and courage a first rate and he is a lovely judge of a high mark!
It will be a nightmare for opposition coaches! If you were playing Geelong, you would want to put Harry Taylor on him due to his marking ability. But Tippett, Franklin and Reid need to be covered first! That leaves an Andrew Mackie against Rohan. Mackie would do a good job body on body, but would not be able to go with Rohan on pace. Mackie would also not be such a potent offensive threat because he would have to show Rohan great respect, and Rohan would drag him often to the Goal Square!Comment

For someone who's played not even 30 games, that's not a bad highlight reel.
WHen he joined the Swans his coach at the Falcons said he was the most exciting player he'd had in the club, including young Gaz.The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

Awesome news. Everytime Gaz chases down a player he reminds me of a leopard chasing a deer.
It won't stop the lies and rumours Liz. Theres a guy on BF who is really pushing that there is unrest at the swans, even when debunked he rather believe the lies and keep pushing them. Then when quizzed about his own team and coach and the endless rumours, he becomes a hypocrite and starts attacking and debunking them as stupidity, just like most were doing with his rumours. Theres a lot of people who think and act like this guy, especially on line. And these are not 16 years too, grown up adults. Hence why i hate AFL fans.Comment
