I think this year it's going to be more difficult to pencil in results compared to last year! Teams like Gold Coast, GWS, Melbourne and the Bulldogs will be better this year, harder to beat and will produce some surprise results. West Coast and the Crows will improve on their poor 2013. The Brisbane Lions will be the same as last year, while St Kilda will be the Leagues easy beats! There will be a lot of teams competing for spots 5-8 and injuries and winning momentum will determine a teams fortunes. I think the Swans will need to be prepared for some tougher games from teams you could pencil in a Victory in 2013.

Brereton who two years ago said we were no chance thinks we are going to finish top. We are in big trouble.

We are being slightly over rated at the moment
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

On the upside, Shane Crawford tips Freo and he's always wrong.

Guardian Aus are running a preview series too. They haven't got to Sydney yet, looks like it's alphabetical order.

The GWS article is a fun read:

At season?s end, Lance Franklin passed up their big-money offer in favour of the other Sydney, at which point chairman Tony Shepherd said GWS were relieved and didn?t want him anyway. This raises questions about whether Tony Shepherd is in the habit of offering $7.2m for things he doesn?t want, because I?ve got a bunch of broken lawn furniture he could look at.

Heath Grundy has the distinction of becoming a rhyming slang term, so good was his 2013 season in which he played every match.

                Hmmm.
