Thanks ugg, Liz, AG and others. Sounds like the team had a day out, and some very encouraging stuff happening for them.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

It was very interesting to watch. GC were in the game, but just could not just NOT get clear near the goals. Kudos to X for a lot of hard work.
the ressies played cohesively. They all appeared to know their jobs, and they did them. they knew the toppies names and used them. That's Crouchie for you. Again.
. Young Jones is a keeper, hard nut, crash and bash and a bit of finness.
. Mat Dick and George Hewitt were very evident in their work. Sounds stuffy, but when you mix them up with Daniel you have similar sizes, and 27, 28 and 29 to contend with.
Looking forward to having Shiggsy back in the seniors, if we can keep him.
T. Head, number 60, is proving that he really wants a professional gig. Rather desperate at times, but....
We will have ruck stocks to burn in a couple of years time. We are going to have trade riches at our disposal (I am sure that is why they took on so many newbies), and I have no problem with that. Nanna did just fine - must have, we slaughtered them.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

I wouldn't have thought so. Tom has a lot more experience, and a ruckman's job is not one for the up and comers so to speak. they need a LOT of time to get their long tall bodies right for the job. Nana is good at this level, but he is still growing into it. Patience my pretties, patience. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Next game is an Anzac Day match against the Lions at Mackay. So the ressies play a day before the seniors we will know for sure whether Tippett will be playing in Melbourne or notComment

I have a lot of time for X. He constantly watches the game, guards the backline, and will be a Richards replacement in the future. He has a slight build, NO body fat, none, but he is a smart smart young man. You can see him sorting out plays and positions as he watches. Reminds me of Peb when he first started (although he was built like a brick with legs). Never takes his eyes off the play.
Allir is a totally different kettle of fish. He plays a different game, he uses his body to make a statement, and he is fairly solidly built in comparison, although he is still 'growing'. He is also a bit of a way behind the starters with his natural game knowledge, but you can see he is going to be a keeper. Looks to be enjoying himself. Gets called both Allir and Chander on the ground. Right in amongst it all.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment
