    Maybe worth thought

Should we look at jack watts, he hates Melbourne, the whipping boy, bring him to sydney, put him in the back line with AJ, Ted and X , to me he seems like a back man, he might be one that we can reinvigorate. Out of the spotlight...especially for the next few years while the bud is doing his thang.

    Any hoo.... Go swans

No! He should have stuck with Basketball, he doesn't have the ticker for AFL.

Despite him not being worth it, he would command a price we would not be able to afford considering our salary cap situation . I think any form of recruit who isn't a last chance reject is going to be out of reach of our club for a few years yet. Develop what we have.

Can barely stand watching him play for Melbourne, my blood boils at some of his half ass efforts - God help me if he played for my club!

I for one have not written off Jack Watts. He is 196cm, quick, agile and has great skills.

I thought during 2013 that he was ripe for a Swans rehabilitation. Being mentored by a tall utility like Adam Goodes would have done him the World of good.

We have gone for Buddy so I don't think the money is there.

He looks like the sort of player who would relish a few anonymous Swims on Bondi Beach and a fresh start. People on Bondi Beach may go up to Jack and ask Nathan Bracken for his autograph!

This. As a former no. 1 pick his price tag will be overs. I don't disagree in terms of his potential to be an effective recycled player, but the pressure that comes with a former no. 1 pick is very different to that experienced by other players.

Jack Watts for me might do much better in a team like Geelong, Swans, Freeo etc but i dont think he is worth the risk vs our greater needs as per below:

                  1. we will have some solid pay increases on the players we have especially if we want to keep Tip past 2014 so this must be our major focus for $

                  2. For me the back line is the main area is a major area of focus also - hopefully AJ comes back fit and strong at 193cm and all the potential to become a Red Richards of the future at the same height, weight and speed.......and I very much hope "X" and "AA" come thru with the goods and maybe LRT and or Reid can makeshift a season if the young ones are not ready immediately

Has the heart of a pea - no thanks.

Have a look at the Melb BF site and see what the fans think of him. Great talent, no ticker, anywhere, anytime.

Jesse for me, but don't think he's coming back (though there is a bit of a history of the Swans & Maggies swapping players back & forth & back again - Paul Hawke, Billy Picken, Mark Orchard)

What did Roos do to deserve that back hander?

Agreed. Roos will always be Swans legend to me. I'm glad he has taken on the challenge of rehabilitating the Dees. For mine, the league is a better place with the grand old dame as a competitive unit and Roosy is probably the best man to try and achieve that.
