That's the point. After offloading JW1, why would we want JW2? And I think Jesse is the better of the 2.
Maybe worth thought

I think Jack Watts can take a lot from the Jesse White story. Sometimes fans in your first team don't appreciate you and a change helps. The Collingwood fans appreciate the job Jesse is doing and he is on track to be the recruit of the year.
The difference between Jesse and Jack is that Jesse was born with perfect physical attributes to play football while Jack had a light frame.
Athletes like Jack and Jesse remind me of Mitchell Johnson in cricket. They are blessed with much God given talent but can quiet and introverted. They can suffer from crisis of confidence and can be inconsistent. Sometimes they take time to mature and they need a mentor who believes in then. Johnson found Leahman, Jesse found Buckley and I hope Roos is the man for Watts?Comment

I personally think it has more to do with expectations.
Our expectations of Jesse were inflated by some big grabs early in his career. He looked like a perfect Barry hall replacement. Over time the disappointment for many was that he never appeared to improve from his early games and so the expectations which wre high we're unfulfilled. Now the pies get him knowing and expecting that he will be a bare improvement on quinten lynch and it turns out he is a natural two goal a game second forward. Woo-hoo they say he is everything we wanted.
Melbourne drafted jack as pick one. He was going to allow them to recover from the wounds of losing neitz and schwarz and yze and turn them into a decent team again. But he is just a player. The expectations have crushed him.
Fwiw I wouldn't touch him at all because I think everitt is every bit the player watts is and we moved him on. But for small enough coin the right club - Brisbane ? Might take him.Comment

I'm just incredible impressed by the way Jesse has handled not living the Bondi lifestyle any moreComment

Besides being from the Gold Coast maybe the had lived the Beach lifestyle dream as a teenager and was ready for a more cultured European style existence, which he gets in Melbourne.Comment

I wish Jesse all the best (except against us). No scores tonight and 6 disposals at last count. The pies fans might like him at the moment, but it won't take much for them to turn. If they do, I'm not sure they will have the patience of the swans fans.Comment

Our elite forward structure should watch Jesse's game movements. When Tippett, Goodes, Franklin and Reid are playing in the same forward line they need to insure they don't get in each other's way and drag their opponents to the same contest. Two of the the four will need to be making runs like Jesse and keeping their opponents out of a contest.
If Tippett is available next week the most important thing he can do is drag Brian Lake away from the contest so the others can succeed. Franklin can also drag Gibson out of the contest and let Goodes and Reid be the main men against opponents who are not elite defenders.Comment

A quiet game for Jesse, although he did lay three tackles. He is playing an unselfish brand of football. You would have noticed that Jesse was never close to Travis Cloke and his opponent never interfered with a contest that Cloke was involved in.
