They are bagging the crowd size on the radio.

We sure made a lot of noise though, especially in the last quarter.

As they should! Two high class teams with big ins on Friday night getting under 40k is a really bad effort.

Completely agree on Friday night games at ANZ, it suits the SCG much better.

I have to be honest, I think 35k is a great crowd for footy on a Friday night in Sydney.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

I agree. For the folks who live outside Sydney, getting to the ANZ on a Friday is tough, even if the game starts at a later time. Traffic is terrible and if you come in from the North or West, driving is probably the best option.

From the TV the crowd noise seemed a lot noisier than past games. The crowd seemed a lot more involved? For those of you who were there, was the crowd a lot noisier than usual?

Yes it was very noisy. Especially in the last exciting quarter it was hard to hear yourself speak. For 35k attendance everyone was yelling at the top of their voices.

Yeah a fair bit of the crowd got into it. I think the screams of "BAAAAALLLLL" might have even convinced a ref towards the end of the game (or at least that's what I've convinced myself)

It was an excellent away win for the team. That's 4 this year. Looking forward to playing a home game against Geelong in a few weeks.

I'll admit as travelling supporters the Swans did make a lot of noise and it's a credit to them.

Ha ha! I thought exactly the same thing. I was hoarse from yelling at the end. And the roar when Buddy kicked his first goal (at last!) in the final quarter was extraordinary.

The SCG will look like a poor cousin once ANZ gets a roof.

but the afl is in the box seat, with 2stadiums fighting for a dozen games a year.

Of course the AFL is currently in the box seat for this one - Mike Fitzpatrick is up to it to his neck for getting ANZ another ridiculous deal. Hopefully the fans speak up and the Swans take heed and we force the AFL to not sign another compromised contract and leave Homebush once and for all.

But don't worry Barry you still will have the NRL, rugby, soccer and a few concerts etc to get value for your gold membership......

Do you honestly think, unless the State Government coughs up an awful lot of money, that they will actually put a roof on ANZ?
