Relax petals. At least we don't have to listen to (feel a traitor saying this) the droning Paul Roos put us through. Boring and dampened the atmosphere like noone else. Bless Melbourne Footy Club for that alone.

BT is pretty awful, but at least he is excited and generally enjoys the game.
Darcey does try to fill in the blank sound bits overmuch, but at least he is not Eddy.
Richo is ok. He takes his job seriously, and I apologise for booing him in his playing days (tried to put him off his goal kicking, worked too). He has a dignity about him that is endearing.
Love listening to Hally's voice, and he is actually a very good commentator and observer of the game. Doesn't waste his words.
I really love Lingy. Measured, doesn't repeat himself, says something when he has something to say and its always of interest.

It could be worse. Malcolm Blight comes to mind. Don (something) was also a drain. It just so much more easy to listen to if the commentators are upbeat and know how to finish a sentence.

I'm not a fan of BT as a commentator but I appreciate that he can tell a story against himself. He was cut off by another driver in traffic, and when it stopped, got out of his car to give the driver a piece of his mind. As he got closer he saw that the other driver was wearing a Collingwood guernsey with BT's number. So he turned round and got back in his car. If only more people ...
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I agree with you Matt, but Darcy did more than defuse the situation.

Eddie tried to get him in on the gaff, but Darcy quickly distanced himself from Eddies comments, and pretty much left him to hang himself.
