Whilst I think I would have rather seen Gary start, I guess of the couple of reserves coming in Brandon is the one coming off some very good form and probably deserves the opportunity more.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
Thought we might go for Membrey with Pyke out. Certainly be interesting how we line up up front - going back towards the one key forward target maybe, with a hope we can get plenty of goals from midfield.
Given there has been some rain around, I think its not a bad line up. Like others, I'm surprised about BJ, but his form over the last couple of weeks in reserves is good, so hopefully he can translate it to the seniors.

Any word on what Pyke'a issue is? I think the balance is better for the opposition and conditions with Rohan and Jack in. We really need to start strong and run out the final quarter.
I expect if Jack plays well Laidler will be subbed for Rohan in the last. Definitely not as confident about this one as I was after the Geelong game.
Having said all that it occurs to me that the team structure is almost back to where we were in the first 4 rounds. God help us if we constantly bomb it to Buddy 55m out with three Port players hanging off him. Really need Parker, Cunningham, Jack, Goodes, Reid et al to step up in the goal kicking department.
