Changes for Rnd 14 V Richmond

Plenty of sore boys and a 6 day break. Danger game?

I'd like to see us play 2 ruckmen so....

    Ins. Pyke and Jones/Membrey/Robinson
    Outs. Hannebery (inj), BJ.

Hannebery having scans on the ankle tomorrow.

Looks good to me Aardvark But what about Rohan?

Would you give him a full game against the Tigers?

Possibly worth a try, he didn't much of a chance yesterday.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

This is a classic danger game for us. Big run of wins, come up against a mediocre side expect to win and turn up with no intensity.

Not sure about playing two rucks on a Friday night game. Pyke wasn't injured, he may need another run in the twos.

Hanners you would expect not too come up for the six day turnaround.

      Maybe Membrey in for Hanners.

ROK did not get a look in, wonder if he is an option to cover for Hannerbury?

Tiges have won the last 3 at the MCG against us.
2009 was the last time we beat them there.

Yeah the Mark Seaby farewell game was a shocker

            Outs: Derrickx, Hannebery, BJ, Rohan
            Ins: Pyke, Jones, Membrey, O'Keefe

Having some fresh blood in the squad will hopefully lift the intensity. I think it would be great to see ROK back in the squad at least a couple of times in the remaining season.

Doc Larkins on 3AW just said that Hannebery has 'internal ankle damage' and said he could potentially miss 4-6 weeks...ouch

Doc Larkins has just had word through on Dan Hannebery - it's not good for the Swans. He has internal ankle damage. Potentially 4-6 weeks.

He isn't that reliable though, like having a GP who diagnoses you from driving in his BMW past you waiting at the bus stop.

Out - Tom D and Hanners

                  In - Pyke and Jones

I think the team needs another in and under midfielder to keep the same balance. Jones just shades Dan Robinson for the call up. Jones is known as a good defensive midfielder and has some pace. He should start and be given a tagging job first up.

The best way for the Swans to play is to use one ruckman with Tippett and Reid to offer some support. Tom D has done this hard job well, but needs a spell to freshen up. Pyke should be match ready and his time out should have him primed for a couple of games in the solo ruck position.
I'm now convinced that playing two genuine ruckman decreases our run and forward defensive pressure.

I would have B. Jack in the Subs vest and give Rohan a full game. I think a couple of good touches and some tackles early in the game will lift his confidence. He deserves a proper chance.

What's he basing that on? Visual assessment? How would he even know if they haven't even done scans yet? I don't think Hannebery would have come back on in Q4 if it was that serious.

At the ground I saw Hanners go down and thought ACL. I was happy to see it was an ankle. Missing 4-6 does get him back well before finals and he should be fresh and primed for the first final. Mcglynn will come back for the GWS game, which should ease the loss of Hanners. I think it's important to manage Josh Kennedy through this period and not totally over cook him. Lloyd will need to spend more time in the heart of the midfield. I believe he is now ready to take on more responsibility.

Ressies have the bye so Pyke will surely be in the team. Whether that's with Derickx or at the expense of is the big question

I assume he is in contact with all the club doctors but, again, I don't think even the Swans doctors would know at this stage how serious it is. The fact he was out there and running on it suggests that it should be 1-2 weeks at the most.

He went down into the change room before he came back on! I can only assume as to why he came back on running after being carried off early the 4th quarter .
