    Match Thread Richmond v Sydney

It will be closer than some expect.
I will be happy to eat my words if we win at a canter , but I say Swans by 27.

I'm worried - either a very close game, or an absolute trouncing by Sydney. More depends on which Richmond turns up than anything.

I've walked away from several Tigers games in recent years thinking "What the hell happened there? Should beat them any day of the week!"

Anyway, Friday is a day of the week...we're up, they're down, would hope for at least a 5-goal win.

I'd be happy with a 27 point win, actually I'll be happy with a Swans win & no injuries.

Jeez, BJ hasn't looked like getting near the pill yet.

I haven't seen us beat the tigers at the MCG for years. Please please please let us win. My dad's Richmond supporter friend always comes with us so I want bragging rights this time.

It has gone cloudy this afternoon but no rain yet.

Please Swans, don't leave me at the mercy of my Tigers-supporting wife and in-laws. Put them away in the first quarter!

Melbourne fans, what's the weather looking like?

They certainly have done well against us at the MCG lately.....Not tonight

Flew down this morning, was beautiful earlier but now low clouds and the occasional drop. Doesn't look like much rain coming though.
Lots of red and white on the streets of Melbourne.
This is a real danger game IMO, Swans better come ready to play. Hanners out adds to the big holes left by McGlynn and Tippett, and out record against Richmond at the G has been widely discussed. I'm quietly confident but this is not a lock. They came 5th last year with exactly the same team remember - fingers crossed this isn't the night they remember how to play footy.

Cool , cloudy , light breeze.
The Met Office is very busy : in Melbourne , they have to issue a quarter-by-quarter forecast , y'know.

Complacency shouldn't be a problem. Friday night at the G should fire them up.

Play anywhere near our best and the Tigers will have long night.

had some light drops of rain out east.

                          *Please Hold out*

nearly time to dash off from work.

                          I tipped us by 36.

Haven't beaten Wretchmond at the "G" since 2009, Tippett and Hanners missing, lots of sore bodies and a 6 day break.
Hmm....Swans by a point. Jones to kick the winner after the siren.

Richmond have lost their last 6 games at the MCG.
