Swans V Demons on Good Friday

I read that Gill McLachlan likes the idea of a Swans V Demons twilight game on Good Friday.

    I do too.

If recent form is anything to go by, the Demons will definitely give us a competitive game in the coming years.

It also gives the AFL a relevant game to put up against the NRL.

    What do others think?

Plus it will send McGuire another shade of purple.

If anyone other than North gets the Good Friday slot, expect to see lots of frothing from Brayshaw. They seem to think it is their divine entitlement.

I read the AFL was considering having 2 games on Good Friday - one in Melbourne and one in Sydney.

        Indeed.

Personally, I'd like to see these poorer Melbourne clubs get a stand alone game...

But Unfortunately for the Kangas V Dogs, there's just is not enough interest outside of their own supporters.

If they do go for 2 games. Then- Kangas V Dogs followed by Demons V Swans would make some sense.

I'd like to see North or the Bullies get a blockbuster home game against one of the big Melbourne clubs (Carlton, Hawthorn, Collingwood or Essendon) as a financial opportunity. It probably should be North as they have been leading the lobbying effort.

The Sydney/Dees game does also make sense as a counter to League in the harbour city. Two games, two cities for mine.

So are you saying that if the Swans get the Good Friday slot, Eddie and James will crucify us??

GWS will get the bye that weekend if all goes to script.
