Although Tippett is surely not 100%, hopefully we are just resting him up for the Hawthorn clash as we really don't need him for Carlton.

I think Carlton are about the worst team for scoring on turnovers, so the way to get them is to do what we do best and that's pressure on the ball and moving fast on the turnover. It's probably better for us to have more of an open forward line with plenty of speedsters to run into open space.

If we can bring the same sort of game we brought to Perth, then we shouldn't have any trouble with the Blues.

We probably should put a tag on Murphy with Benny looking the most likely. Judd is still a very good player, but probably not good enough to warrant a tag. Gibbs has had a good year, but was down against the Saints and may be carrying an injury. Carrazzo will out with injury, although it's not a big loss for them as he's had a poor season. I'm sure Dre won't be getting 20 mtrs of open space like he did against the Saints. Yarran is another one that will take some attention and he's been trying out in the midfield of late. Robinson is out due to suspension.

I think its a danger game, but a professional performance from the swans will bring home 4 more points you'd hope.

Don't worry about Yarran - the Human Glove will take care of him

Robinson may be a complete 100% flog, but he is a more than handy midfielder. He is the sort of player Carlton would love to have against a midfield like ours...someone that can crack in hard and try and physically match it with the likes of JPK, Parks and Benny. Him and Carrazzo are both significant losses...their midfield will be pretty weak defensively and in contested situations and there's no reason we shouldn't dominate that area of the game. We just need Pyke to nullify Warnock, he tends to struggle against the guys that really attack the contest hard...perhaps they could swap Mike for the human battering ram in Tom.D?

He's also the sort of player who hands the footy back to the opposition. Regularly. He has a go but I reckon he's fairly limited.

But I would have worried if he played as Robinson is the one most likely to injure one of our players (as well as his teammates).

I love watching Robbo play - he's completely mental and by far the most entertaining Carlton player. But yes I'm glad he's out as he's a danger to himself and anyone else on the same field as him....

Wayne Carey did too. Found that out last week.

                      Hmmm. Sounds like Lindsay Thomas.

Yes and Wayne Carey came from Wagga and we could have had him too if our recruiters were slick enough. They weren't in those days. Got some big names up here but forgot about the future at that time.

Agree with it being a danger game.
It's the SCG, Carlton tend to kick long with less handball and they have big marking targets up forward. We need to be on our game in the midfield to rob them of the initiative.

Any whispers on team selection news yet?

Would love to see Membrey rewarded with a game...form in the last couple of weeks may not have been spectacular but surely he's done enough in the early parts of the season.
Straight swap for Rohan...give Gaz another run around in the reserves midfield or off half-back. B.Jack in the vest again. Doubt it will come to fruition but would be great...debutantes also give the team that bit extra lift as well.

Allir Allir just placed on long-term injury list...will this mean a call up for Biggs or debut for Robinson?

wonder if this may mean there's an injury we don't know about...hmmmm

The Swans seem reluctant to activate another rookie for whatever reason. Tom Mitchell would be selected ahead of Robinson. Rohan will be moved to half back before Biggs is considered.

The only rookie I can see upgraded from here is Naismith if there is a ruck crisis.
