I'll ask again. If it's all about tackles, why isn't ROK in the side ahead of ...say McVeigh??

Just saying the same thing over and over again, like the "lure of the Bondi Lifestyle", like the "trading Mitchell for a defender", doesn't make it any more accurate, sensible or feasible.

Oh I get it...like Parkers "electrifying pace".

        "Horseball"

        or just

        "tackleball"

        who is that man ?

Like Mitchell ROK plays good "Harassing Horse" in tight congested packs, but struggles with the "Harassing Horse" in space in the forward line due to a lack of pace. Mcveigh is a bit quicker than ROK and Mitchell and his skills are more composed.

Oh I get it...like Parkers "electrifying pace".
Luke Parker is one year ahead of Mitchell with his football, but is simply a much better player. His "Harassing Horse" tackles sting harder than Mitchell's.

Oh cr@p! I can sense about 80 pages of combined "Tom Mitchell can't play this made-up Horse-tackle brand of footy so it's yet another reason to trade him" worth of posts coming up.

Parker is a wonderful player...that not in question.

What is in question is your assertion that Mitchell ..."struggles to play "Harassing Horse" in the wide expanses of the forward line where electrifying pace is required." ....

Well Parker manages it, without the so called "electrifying pace" you say is required.....So I guess, "electrifying pace" isn't always required...is it??

Clinging onto one simplistic thought pattern, and throwing in quirky jargon to dress it up, doesn't do it for me.

People still talk about the strategies of "Pagans Paddock and "Clarkos Cluster". John Longmire has implemented a strategy of devotion to tackling and pressure as the key to winning. What's wrong with acknowledging that strategy as the "Harassing Horse"?

Most clubs, if not all, rate pressure acts, including tackling, as a major contributor to winning... Thats nothing new. The Swans do it better than most.

The strategy Horse did implement, as quoted often by the players (as opposed to a RWO poster), is spread and 2 way running...Pressure acts, 1%ers....including tackling... are all important.

When Horse talks about tackling, he's talking about work rate, I've heard him link the two many times.....

So if you insist on a simplistic view of Horses strategy......It's work rate.
