So, he kicks up couple of goals and everyone starts jumping up and down. geesh, was as if it was an important game or anything.

Interesting to read how Reggi derided his natural talent and bracketed him with the likes of the second tier pluggers and had Schneider above him yet Roos believes he along with MOL and Goodes are the three most naturally talented at the club. I do concede that talent is hard to measure though.LIFE GOES ONComment

Why? I suspect there hasn't been enough blood-letting this pre-season. We're all just basking in reflected glory, and slapping each other on the back about how great our players are. Gone is the sense of hopelessness, frustration and doom.
Premiership hangover, RWO style. Not that I'm complaining -- it's been a nice change.

Albeit a Premiership playerYou don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby ZieglerComment

I think he's got talent...the problem is, he's just too lazy to show it

Already a fine player - and will be as good as he wants to be. That's the only limitation. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

nicky D's between a rock and a hard place - the only place a player of immense potential can be. that is, has to show continual brilliance to be seen as matching expectation. can the boy win over the critics?
He works hard - has done for a good year or so. witness his last quarter in the GF - no brilliance - just hard work and presenting himself where needed. he took on running players - bounced the ball as banfield lunged at him. micky aimed for him as he ran to space in one of his last qtr shots - he was there and was no passenger.
that said, this year looms as a defining year. IMO he's on the rise rather than the slide.
onward and upward !
PS did anyone measure the distance of that goal he kicked against the Dee's R22 when Micky did his hammy? ('04?)- was at least 70mkeep it realComment
