Nope, I don't jest at all. I don't believe people wake up on the day and think 'oh, there's no rugby on tonight so let's go to an AFL game instead.'

No, but you have passionate supporters of teams who follow more than one code. My good mate is a case in point. He loves the Swans and goes to every Swans' home game (ANZ or SCG) unless there is an Eels home game being played at a similar time, in which he goes to that. He certainly would not be the only one. Many Swannies' fans are also loyal Waratahs' fans too.
      Swannies for life!

No, they do it over the course of a few days. Or even months in advance!

Also traffic related. Nothing happening next door at SFS

We rarely play a game at the SCG at the same time a game is played next door.

It's not uncommon for an soccer union or league game to be on in the sfs shortly after the swans at scg when they play afternoon games

27,000 + COLA minus the 5% late start in Winter Index = 28,163
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

30,000 plus an extra 3,000 to piss off Eddie McGuire (Mr AFL).

Gee I hope we meet Collingwood in a finals game this year. Horse won't have to say much to get all the players worked up.

                          Weather for Sydney

"Mostly sunny day. Showers developing in the late afternoon, mainly along the coastal fringe. 70% chance of rain."

If there's significant afternoon rain it might keep a couple of thousand away..

There is a seriously decent crowd in already - im guessing 32-33k tonight on a very pleasant evening for footy!
